Trip Itinerary
You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha/Moshi at 8:00 AM for a scenic drive to Chemka Hot Springs, passing through villages and open landscapes with views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Arrive at the springs around 10:00 AM and settle into your tropical surroundings. Spend the morning swimming, relaxing under shady trees, trying the rope swing, or simply enjoying the natural spa effect of the tiny fish nibbling your feet.
At around 12:30 PM, enjoy a freshly prepared local lunch at the spring's picnic area. Depending on availability, this may include grilled chicken, chips, rice, or vegetarian dishes. After lunch, sip on a cold soda or beer, chat with locals and other travelers, or just take in the peaceful ambiance of the natural spring. Hammocks and mats are available to stretch out and soak up the sun.
After lunch, you'll have more time to swim, float lazily in the spring, or explore the surrounding forested area. Around 2:30 PM, begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving back at your accommodation between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
