Work With Explore Trekking Adventures

We are building something remarkable in Tanzania. If you are ready to be part of it, we want to hear from you.

Who We Are

Tanzania is not just where we operate. It is who we are.

Explore Trekking Adventures is a Tanzania-based tour operator specialising in high-quality safari and trekking experiences across some of Africa’s most iconic landscapes. We guide expeditions up Mount Kilimanjaro, coordinate immersive wildlife experiences through Serengeti National Park, and craft journeys for international travellers who expect more than the ordinary. We are not the biggest company in the industry, and that is deliberate. We are focused, growing, and particular about how we operate and who we grow with. Tanzania travel and tourism careers at our company are not just positions to fill — they are roles that shape the experience of thousands of travellers and the livelihood of local communities. Right now, we are expanding our team, our partnerships, and our reach. Whether you are an experienced guide, a driven operations professional, or a travel brand looking for a reliable partner on the ground in Tanzania, there may be a place for you here.

How We Work Together

Three ways to join the Explore family

Office & Operations

Our internal team drives everything from behind the scenes. Sales professionals who can communicate our product clearly to international clients, operations coordinators who manage the complexity of multi-day itineraries, and customer service specialists who understand that a response time and the right tone of voice can make or break a relationship. These roles require commercial fluency, digital competence, and a genuine passion for travel. Tourism jobs in Tanzania don’t get more varied than this.

Field Team

This is where the experience actually lives. Our field team includes Kilimanjaro guides with verified certifications and serious mountain experience, professional safari drivers who know the Serengeti intimately, and expedition crew and porters who form the backbone of every successful summit. Kilimanjaro guide jobs at Explore are not entry-level in the casual sense — we expect professionalism, safety-consciousness, and a genuine ability to connect with guests from all over the world.

Partners & Collaborators

We work with international travel agencies, DMC partners, and specialist tour operators who need a trusted operator on the ground in Tanzania. We also collaborate selectively with travel content creators and brand ambassadors who can authentically represent what we do. Our partnerships are built on shared standards, honest communication, and long-term thinking — not commissions alone. If your brand aligns with responsible, high-quality travel in Africa, we would like to talk.
“The Serengeti moves on its own rhythm. So do we, in crafting unforgettable experiences.”

The Opportunity

What working here actually means

Working with Explore Trekking Adventures puts you at the intersection of real travel industry operations and international client relationships. This is not a desk role in a distant office processing bookings for somewhere you have never been. You are working on the ground, or directly supporting operations on the ground, in one of the most extraordinary natural environments on earth.

Our team regularly interfaces with guests from Europe, North America, and beyond. You will develop a fluency in international travel culture, client expectations, and the kind of service standards that serious travellers demand. That experience travels with you throughout your career.

We believe in giving people genuine responsibility early. There is no long queue to be heard here. If you are good and you are committed, you will grow quickly. Safari jobs in Tanzania and trekking operations careers at this level are rare — and we know it. We take the development of our team seriously, not as an HR talking point, but as an operational necessity.

You will also build hands-on expertise in tourism operations that very few people in the world get to accumulate: expedition logistics, safety and risk management at altitude, wildlife field knowledge, and the intricate choreography of multi-day itinerary execution. This is experience that cannot be taught in a classroom.

Our Culture

Honest about how we operate

We move fast. Plans change. The mountain does not negotiate, and neither does a client’s departure flight. If you thrive in dynamic, high-responsibility environments where no two days are the same, you will feel at home here. If you need extensive hand-holding, rigid processes, and clearly defined boundaries for everything you do, this is probably not the right place.

What we do value, deeply, is ownership. We want people who see something that needs doing and do it. Who communicate honestly when something is not working. Who treat the company’s reputation as their own. Initiative is rewarded here far more than tenure.

Teamwork is not a buzzword for us — in the field, it is a safety requirement. On an expedition, the quality of your team directly determines the quality of the guest experience. We back each other, we call each other out constructively, and we do not allow egos to compromise our work.

This is not for everyone. But for the right person, it is the kind of work that becomes a career-defining chapter.

Our Values

What we stand for in everything we do

Responsible Tourism

Tanzania’s landscapes and wildlife are not a backdrop. They are the entire reason we exist. Every decision we make — from route selection to waste management on expeditions — is made with the long-term health of these ecosystems in mind. We operate responsibly because we believe it is the only way to operate at all.

Local Community Impact

We employ locally, source locally, and invest in the communities whose land and culture make our work possible. A significant part of our growth strategy is tied directly to creating better, more sustainable employment opportunities in the Tanzanian tourism sector.

Uncompromising Safety

Safari jobs in Tanzania carry real risk. Trekking expeditions on Kilimanjaro carry real risk. We take safety standards seriously — not because we are told to, but because our clients trust us with their lives and that trust is not something we take lightly. Everyone on our team knows our protocols, maintains their certifications, and has the authority to call a stop to any activity if safety is at risk.

Quality Over Volume

We are deliberate about how many trips we run and how many clients we take. We would rather build fewer exceptional experiences than flood the market with mediocre ones. This philosophy touches everything: the quality of our guides, the clarity of our communications, the care in our itineraries.

Ideal Candidates

Is this you?

For our office and operations team, we are looking for people who are commercially sharp and personally reliable. You communicate clearly with international clients, take responsibility when things go wrong, and have a genuine curiosity about travel and what makes experiences worth paying for. Relevant experience in tourism or hospitality helps, but it is your mindset and professionalism that we will ultimately hire for.

For field roles — guides, drivers, and expedition crew — we need people with demonstrated competence and a strong safety record. Kilimanjaro guide jobs at Explore require certified experience, fluency in English, and the kind of character that makes guests feel safe and well-looked-after at altitude. Our safari drivers and field staff are often the single biggest factor in how a guest remembers their experience. We need people who understand that weight.

For partnership enquiries, we want to hear from travel agencies and operators who value quality and reliability above all else. We work best with partners who are honest about their clients’ expectations, who value long-term relationships over one-off transactions, and who are as committed to responsible travel as we are. Influencers and content creators are welcome to reach out if their audience and aesthetic genuinely align with what we offer — we are not looking for volume, we are looking for fit.

Open Roles

We are always open to exceptional people

We do not always post open positions publicly. Our team tends to grow through referrals, direct outreach, and conversations with people who find us organically — which, if you are reading this, you clearly have. That matters to us.

If you believe you are the kind of person who belongs in this environment, do not wait for a listed vacancy. Strong candidates are welcome at any time. Tell us who you are, what you have done, and what kind of role or partnership you are looking for. We read everything we receive.
